Happy New Year 2026🎉

あけましておめでとうございます！

2025年はおかげさまで法人化４期目を迎え、英語コーチングをはじめ複数の業務を継続することができました。

以下のような新しい挑戦の機会も頂き、感謝です。ありがとうございます。

◇ アメリカ駐在員向けビジネス英語セミナー開催

◇ 早稲田大学で新たに対面授業を担当

◇ 北米からのインバウンド客向け通訳ガイド業務

通訳ガイド業務は、もともと全国通訳案内士という資格を持っていて、旅行会社に勤める友人に人手不足だからとお花見の時期に声をかけてもらったのがきっかけです。英語教育とは一見すると少し異なる業務に見えるかもしれませんが、北米からいらっしゃるさまざまな方々と直接お話しし、日本文化を紹介しながら交流することで、異文化コミュニケーションを改めて体感できています。

自身の英語力向上はもちろん、そこで得た気づきや経験を学習者の皆さまに還元できる点で、まさに「役得」としか言いようがありません。

実は最近、英語コーチングを受講してくださっているクライアント様にも、その経験を還元する機会がありました。

ある時その方が、「たまには外に出て、外国の方と話しながら英会話の練習をしたい」とおっしゃったので、「外国人観光客で溢れる浅草で、ボランティアガイドをかって出てお話すればいい！私がガイドのお手本も見せますし、練習も付き合うし、なんならそばでサポートもします」と提案し、早速実行しました！

単なる英会話の実践にとどまらず、日本について改めて学び、それを英語で伝えて観光客の方に喜ばれた体験は、クライアント様にとって想像以上に有意義だったようです。実際に、別の方からも「おもしろそう！自分もやってみたい」という声をいただいています。ご興味のある方は、是非DMください。

Happy New Year!

In 2025, my company entered its fourth year. Thanks to your continued support, I was able to carry on not only my English coaching work but also several other projects.

I am truly grateful for the opportunities to take on new challenges, such as the following:

◇ Hosting business English seminars for U.S.-based expatriates

◇ Teaching new in-person classes at Waseda University

◇ Contributing to content development for the Japanese-learning courses in the app “Speak.”

◇ Working as an interpreter-guide for inbound visitors from North America

At first glance, interpreter-guiding may seem somewhat different from English education. However, through direct interactions with visitors from North America and by introducing Japanese culture to them, I have been able to re-experience the essence of cross-cultural communication.

These experiences not only help improve my own English skills but also allow me to give back valuable insights to my clients—something I truly feel fortunate to be able to do.

I am also grateful to have continued working on the following projects. I will continue to do my best this year, and I look forward to your continued support.

◇ Guest speaking at seminars hosted by Kagawa University, JICA, and other institutions

◇ Content development for the AI English conversation app “Speak”
